To add a favicon to my site (currently using Wordpress 2.7.1. I know. I know. Ver. 2.9.2 is already available…)
- Place (upload, that is) the favicon.ico file inside the theme folder. In this case: wp-content/themes/mandigo)
- Add this line to header.php (using editor in the dashboard or in this case: http://ayaayawae.com/wp-admin/theme-editor.php). Be sure to add it somewhere within the <head></head> section.
<link rel=”shortcut icon” href=”<?php bloginfo(‘template_directory’); ?>/favicon.ico” />
That’s it.
Anyway, it’s working instantly in Firefox. IE? Not so lucky. I’ve tried ctrl-f5, etc. Nothing.
Ah. It’s late. I’m tired. I’ll look into this later…
