SooYoung: …And honestly, if you think about it, the people our age, in high school and early twenties, probably wear these outfits, with jeans and a white shirt. So we tried it and the response was very good.
Tiffany: But we never imagined that it would become our performance outfits. I ate with Sunny and I was like, "If we’re just wearing a white shirt and jeans, I can’t go on stage." Wearing that outfit, I was really so worried…
Jessica: Because it’s so fitting~
DJ: Ah, afraid that during the camera rehearsal, people would say, "Please change to another size."
Tiffany: I lost a lot of confidence.

SooYoung: We’ll each go around.
Sunny: Our title track ‘Gee’ is about a girl who has fallen for her first crush, and her nervous heart and how she must feel. We worked hard to convey those emotions as we perform, so our choreography coordinates well with the lyrics. So when we’re singing like, ♫물라 물라♫, we wave our arms like this so it matches with the lyrics. And also the ‘crab leg dance’ that many people like. So it’s a good song that matches the brightness of SNSD to start off our first mini album.
DJ: Wow, it’s like you lifted it right off the track description.
Sunny: I…
Tiffany: Actually, we’re the ones that came up with that description during interviews, and then it went out and now people think we just memorized it.
DJ: As you’ve done a lot of interviews.
Sunny: Yeah.
Tiffany: We’re the ones that came up with that.

Sunny: What’s important is that… it was TaeYeon that came up with this description…

SeoHyun: Yes. The next track is called ‘힘내! / Himnae!‘ The composer for our ‘Into the New World’ was Kenzie 언니 and she also composed this one as well. This was the original song but for the Anycall commercials, it was remade as ‘Haptic Motion’. And many people liked it a lot so we brought back the original song, with a lot of energy so it can encourage a lot of people. SooYoung: It’s called ‘Dear Mom’ and it’s a ballad song. The lyrics really match with the people our age and actually, the message of the song can be conveyed by daughters, regardless of age. We really cried a lot recording this song and it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that we really poured our hearts into this song. It’s a really good song, so please everyone listen to it.
DJ: Have your parents listened to this song?
SooYoung: Yes, they really like it.
DJ: Dear Mom…, X3 said, "Dear Mom is the best! Deal Mom… Dear Mom really is the best."

So it was really different for us and I remember it was really fun recording it. And there’s a lot of adlibs on this song. We really just made up the adlibs ourselves as we were recording it. So when we first heard the completed track, it was really fascinating to see how it was all completed.

SooYoung: Saying that the most important of these is love.
Tiffany: Yes. Since the title says it’s a long for struggling love, the lyrics say things like, "Don’t wait for him to change, just accept him as he is." SooYoung: Somany times. I think about that almost every single day. I think the most about how my life would be if I was just a senior in high school. And there’s a lot of things that I’m sorry to my family for. If I was just a normal daughter, or a normal 동생, I probably wouldn’t have worried them so much. Rather than me being hurt, because I don’tmind about that, but it worries me the most whether it will hurt my family…

SooYoung: Yes, those things. And being able to walk around freely? And also, you mentioned being a college student, I’ve really dreamt so much about being a college student. But honestly, there’s things that I’m scared about. Afraid that people will be taking pictures of you in lecture hall?
SooYoung: I’m used to that now.

SooYoung: I’m accustomed to that now but with the focus of being a celebrity and all…

SooYoung & Tiffany: Fists didn’t actually fly but fists were definitely made.

Tiffany: All eight of us were tricking her.
SooYoung: And HyoYeon got really mad and she didn’t know it was a prank and I purposely wanted to tick her off so I was bothering her more. And HyoYeon looked at me and said, "SooYoung, do you really want to fist fight with me right now?"

DJ: So you’ve never actually fought before.
SooYoung: Yeah.
