Problems with Facebook Photos

WTF?! Euweuh nu baleg!

I use IE 8 with Facebook Plug-In 1.0.3.

Duplicate Photos on Facebook Photo Albums: The total photos in Facebook photo albums are more than  what I uploaded. There are duplicate photos… Why is this happening? I only uploaded them once.

Firefox needs Java to upload photos to Facebook… Argh! I hate JRE. I won’t bother installing that plugin.

FYI, To upload photos to Facebook I’ve tried using Bloom (the photos are heavily modified);  Windows Live Photo Gallery with  LiveUpload plugin (most of the time it wouldn’t connect to my facebook account, sometimes only a few of the photos are uploaded successfully);  Fireuploader (Can NEVER connect to facebook account); Picasa with facebook  app (I’m too confused with the UI); and of course the facebook simple uploader. (only useful with a handful of photos).

How to add a favicon to my site

To add a favicon to my site (currently using WordPress 2.7.1. I know. I know. Ver. 2.9.2 is already available…)

  1. Place (upload, that is) the favicon.ico file inside the theme folder. In this case: wp-content/themes/mandigo)
  2. Add this line to header.php (using editor in the dashboard or in this case: http://ayaayawae.com/wp-admin/theme-editor.php). Be sure to add it somewhere within the <head></head> section.

<link rel=”shortcut icon” href=”<?php bloginfo(‘template_directory’); ?>/favicon.ico” />

That’s it.

Anyway, it’s working instantly in Firefox. IE? Not so lucky. I’ve tried ctrl-f5, etc. Nothing.

Ah. It’s late. I’m tired. I’ll look into this later…
